Athens-Clarke County Employees' Pension Plan, Athens, Ga., is searching for an investment consultant, said Jeff Hale, the county's human resources director, in an email.
The $242 million pension fund issued an RFP because current consultant Consequent Capital Management was not hired through county's formal procurement process, but rather due to its purchase of incumbent consultant Gray & Co. at the beginning of 2017. Consequent is invited to rebid.
As of July 31, the actual allocation of the plan was 58.2% domestic equities, 29.5% domestic fixed income and 12.3% international equities.
The RFP is available on the county's purchasing website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT on Sept. 27. A selection is expected sometime before Nov. 7.
