Investment consultant Sheridan Road Financial and data and analytics firm Fiduciary Analytics formed the Sheridan Road Human Capital Institute, according to a joint news release.
The institute, which will be headed by Rocke Blair, managing partner at Fiduciary Analytics, will use data and other insights to provide solutions to optimize employers' human capital spending as the costs of various benefit programs continue to increase in the face of an aging workforce.
"Our industry is at a confluence with the convergence of health and welfare plans competing for the same benefits dollar with the qualified plan industry, putting plan sponsors in a precarious business position," Mr. Blair said in the news release.
The institute will provide "disruptive ideas" and thought leadership from academics, industry leaders and the plan sponsor communities, the news release said.
Sheri Fitts, Sheridan Road spokeswoman, could not immediately provide further information.
