Pomona Capital closed its latest private equity fund investing on the secondary markets, Pomona Capital IX, which was oversubscribed at $1.8 billion, said Vivian Mandis Flynn, managing director of investor relations, in an email.
The fundraising target for Pomona Capital IX was $1.75 billion.
Pomona Capital VIII closed in 2014 with $1.75 billion in total commitments, surpassing its $1.3 billion fundraising target.
Limited partners in the latest fund include pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, endowments, foundations and family office. The $2.7 billion Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, committed $50 million to the fund.
