J.P. Morgan Asset Management names Asia-Pacific head of its alternatives solutions group

Shawn Khazzam was promoted to head of Asia-Pacific of J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPM)'s newly created alternatives solutions group.

Natalie Ho, a member of the product strategy team, has taken on Mr. Khazzam's previous role as head of product strategy for Asia-Pacific, said spokeswoman Charlotte Powell.

Further additions to the alternatives solutions group team will be announced in due course, according to a J.P. Morgan Asset Management news release.

The release said the team will be responsible for "partnering closely with the firm's client advisers on investor education and thought leadership initiatives about alternatives, including hedge funds, real assets (real estate, infrastructure and transportation assets), private equity, private credit and liquid alternatives."

The release added that the establishment of the alternative solutions group was partly in response to client demand for insights and strategic advice as alternatives become an increasingly important part of their portfolios.

JPMAM manages $130 billion in alternatives globally.
