Ethan Kang joined Man Group in Hong Kong as managing director, head of Korea.
He will be responsible for business development and strategy in building relationships with institutional clients in South Korea.
Mr. Kang replaces SangHoon Ji in that role. Mr. Ji left Man Group in the second quarter of 2018 to pursue other opportunities, said a spokeswoman for the firm.
Mr. Kang comes to Man Group from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he served as executive director, institutional sales, focusing on South Korean clients.
Charlotte Powell, a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan Asset Management, said her firm is currently recruiting to fill the role.
Man Group has $113.7 billion in assets under management.
