Emmanuel Laillier was named head of private equity at Tikehau Capital, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. The firm has recently launched new dedicated private equity funds. Mr. Laillier will develop a midcap private equity capability within Tikehau Capital effective Wednesday, as well as supervise the management of alternative funds.
"(Mr. Laillier) is a highly respected investment professional who fully understands Tikehau Capital, having previously been a member of (its) investment and audit committees ... He will enable us to significantly enhance the development of our private equity business," Antoine Flamarion, co-founder of the firm, said in a news release.
Mr. Laillier was previously board member and managing director at private equity and venture capital firm Eurazeo PME since 2011. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
Tikehau Capital has €14.2 billion ($16.5 billion) in assets under management, including €2.6 billion in private equity.
