Brunel Pension Partnership, Bristol, England, selected Hermes Equity Ownership Services as its first voting and engagement services provider, said a spokeswoman at the £29 billion ($37.6 billion) pool of 10 U.K. local authority pension funds.
Hermes EOS was selected for its seamless integration, quality and frequency of communications, and a wide range of public reporting via its platform, which is aligned with themes of the Brunel responsible investment policy, the spokeswoman said. "We've chosen to appoint Hermes EOS in part because we're impressed by their willingness to actively collaborate with our asset managers to ensure joined up and seamless integration," said Faith Ward, chief responsible investment officer at Brunel, in a news release.
Hermes EOS was sourced through a national local government authority framework where pension funds can select firms from a list of registered providers.
