Texas County & District Retirement System, Austin, committed $65 million from its $4 billion private equity portfolio to Riverside Micro-Cap Fund V, a transaction report showed.
The commitment from the $30.2 billion pension fund is the first to the buyout fund's manager, Riverside Co.
Including the most recent commitment to the Riverside fund, TCDRS has earmarked a total of $442 million to eight private equity and venture capital funds year-to-date Aug. 21.
In 2017, the pension fund made 25 commitments to private equity/venture capital funds totaling $1.238 billion.
