Michael Tamasco was named managing director of institutional sales at Seix Investment Advisors, according to a news release.
The position is new. Mr. Tamasco reports to James Keegan, chief investment officer and chairman, and George Goudelias, head of leveraged finance, a spokesman said.
"Having someone with Michael's extensive background in institutional sales and consultant relations, coupled with solid investment and credit experience, will better support our existing institutional clients and allow Seix to expand its footprint by establishing new client relationships globally," Mr. Keegan said in the news release.
As of June 30, Seix, an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners Inc., had $23.9 billion of fixed-income assets under management.
Mr. Tamasco previously was president of Steadfast Investment Adviser. Information on a replacement could not be immediately learned.
