Mark Meiklejon was named head of real asset investment specialists at Aviva Investors Real Assets, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Meiklejon leads a real assets investment specialist team within the global client solutions team and reports to Steven Blackie, global head of product strategy.
"(Meiklejon's) experience in real assets and his ability to understand and articulate client needs makes him a valuable addition to our global client solutions team. I look forward to working with him and Mark Versey, (chief investment officer of Aviva Investors Real Assets) in ensuring our real assets business continues to offer solutions that are tailored to the needs of our existing and future clients," Mr. Blackie said in a news release.
Aviva Investors Real Assets has £37 billion ($47.2 billion) in assets under management in infrastructure debt, infrastructure equity, private corporate debt, real estate finance, real estate and structured products strategies.
Mr. Meiklejon was previously head the private market global investment specialist teams in the role of investment director at Aberdeen Standard Investments. A spokesman could not immediately be reached to comment about a replacement.
