Zachary Green was named global head of liquidity sales at AllianceBernstein, spokeswoman Angela Tu confirmed.
The position is new. Mr. Green will oversee the sales, marketing and strategy development of the firm's $10 billion money market fund business. He reports to Raymond Papera, senior vice president and portfolio manager.
Mr. Green was product specialist and client service executive at Western Asset Management Co. It could not be learned if he was replaced; WAMCO spokeswoman Mary Athridge could not be immediately reached for comment.
AllianceBernstein had $539.8 billion in assets under management as of June 30.
