Texas Employees Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $75 million to two private equity funds in July, a transaction report showed.
Investment officers at the $28.5 billion fund earmarked $60 million for KSL Capital Partners V, a buyout fund investing globally in midsize companies in the travel and leisure sectors.
ERS previously committed $125 million to the earlier fund in the series as well as $30 million to KSL Capital Partners Credit Opportunities Fund II.
Baring Asia Private Equity Fund VII, managed by Baring Private Equity Asia, was awarded a $15 million commitment for buyout investments in midsize companies in Asia.
ERS previously committed $15 million to a co-investment affiliated with BPE Asia Real Estate Fund.
