Robin Hubbard was named head of real estate capital at Schroder Real Estate Investment Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Hubbard is responsible for the firm's global real estate capital raising and joint venture strategy. He focuses on raising capital for real estate funds and joint ventures and leads investor coverage and product development teams.
"This is an important strategic hire within the real estate team and we are delighted to welcome (Mr. Hubbard, who) brings with him significant experience that will be of great benefit to us as we look to grow the real estate business further and reach new investors and markets across the globe," said Duncan Owen, global head of real estate at Schroders, in a news release.
Mr. Hubbard was previously director of investor relations and business development at InfraRed Capital Partners. A spokesman could not be reached to provide details of his replacement.
Schroders' real estate business has $20 billion in assets under management.
