Manulife Investments hired Pictet Asset Management as subadviser to the Manulife International Value Equity and Manulife International Focused funds, according to a company news release.
Manulife Asset Management had been subadviser of the two mutual funds.
Also, Manulife Asset Management was named subadviser of the following mutual funds: Manulife Global Dividend Growth, Manulife Global Dividend Growth Class, Manulife Global Equity Unconstrained and Manulife Global Equity Unconstrained Class.
Aberdeen Standard Investments was subadviser to the funds; Standard Life Investments was subadviser prior to its June 2017 merger with Aberdeen Asset Management. Spokeswomen at Manulife and Aberdeen Standard said their companies would not comment further.
Also, Doug McGraw, managing director and portfolio manager for the Manulife Global Dividend, Manulife Global Dividend Class, Manulife Global Strategic Balanced Yield and Manulife Global All Cap Focused funds, plans to leave the firm at the end of 2018, a Manulife spokeswoman confirmed. Paul Boyne, managing director and portfolio manager, will continue to lead the investment team managing the funds.
Separately, Keng Lin Tan, managing director, was named lead portfolio manager for the Manulife Asia Equity Class Fund. Ms. Tan replaces Linda Csellak, senior portfolio manager, Asia Pacific equities, who has left Manulife, the spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman would not provide further details.
