Robert Gardner, a co-founder of consultant Redington, was named director of investment management at wealth firm St. James's Place.
The firm said in a statement that Mr. Gardner will join the executive board of the wealth manager Jan. 7, subject to regulatory approval.
He replaces David Lamb, managing director of investments, who will retire early next year. Mr. Lamb will continue to chair the investment committee on a part-time basis.
Mr. Gardner remains in his role as non-executive director at investment consultant Redington, which provides St. James's Place with services. Mr. Gardner co-founded Redington in 2006, stepping aside as co-CEO in April 2016 when Mitesh Sheth was appointed to the role.
