Oklahoma Firefighters Pension & Retirement System, Oklahoma City, returned a gross 11.8% for the fiscal year ended June 30, surpassing its benchmark return of 9.4%, said Troy Brown, director of consulting at AndCo Consulting, investment consultant to the $2.7 billion pension fund, in an email.
Its annualized three-, five- and 10-year returns as of June 30 were 8.9%, 10% and 7.4%, respectively, vs. its benchmarks of 8.1%, 9.3% and 7.6%. The system returned 14.3% for the previous fiscal year.
Mr. Troy did not disclose asset class returns. As of June 30, the pension fund had an allocation of 42% domestic equities, 15% international equities, 10% real estate, 8% each domestic fixed income and other assets, 7% international fixed income, and 5% each other equities and other fixed income.
