Mesirow Financial is acquiring currency alpha and overlay manager The Cambridge Strategy (Asset Management), Mesirow announced Monday.
Terms were not disclosed. The Cambridge Strategy, which oversees $3 billion in assets, will be merged with the global currency team at Mesirow Financial Currency Management, which oversees $80 billion in assets.
Peter Henricks, Cambridge Strategy CEO, and Russell Thompson, chief investment officer, will join Mesirow as senior managing directors, the spokesman said. Mr. Henricks will also be head of alpha and macro strategies, and Mr. Thompson will be CIO, alpha and macro strategies.
The deal is expected to close sometime in August, the spokesman said.
