Los Angeles City Employees' Retirement System hired TorreyCove Capital Partners as its private equity consultant, board meeting minutes show.
The selection was made by the board of the $17.1 billion pension plan board on July 10 following an RFP launched Oct. 10. The other semifinalists were Cambridge Associates and Cliffwater. The incumbent is Portfolio Advisors, which was not among the six firms that responded to the RFP.
LACERS has a 12% target allocation to private equity.
