Former Fir Tree Partners executives Andrew Fredman and James Walker have joined new real estate investment management firm Jadian Capital founded by their former Fir Tree colleague Jarret Cohen, according to a Jadian spokeswoman.
Mr. Walker will serve as senior partner at Jadian, which is a new position, and Mr. Fredman will be a strategic partner to Jadian through IngleSea Capital, his family office. Mr. Fredman also will serve as a member of Jadian's investment advisory committee.
Mr. Fredman retired as a managing partner and co-chief investment officer of Fir Tree in 2015. Mr. Walker was a managing partner involved in operations at Fir Tree, said sources familiar with the situation.
Since December, Clinton Biondo, who was promoted to managing partner, began overseeing Fir Tree along with David Sultan, managing partner and Fir Tree CIO, said sources familiar with the situation. Mr. Sultan has been either co-CIO or CIO of Fir Tree for the past 10 years. Scott Tagliarino, Fir Tree's spokesman, declined to comment.
