Jiho Han joined State Street Global Advisors in Hong Kong as a managing director and senior quantitative researcher, fixed income, cash and currency.
The position is new. Mr. Han will contribute to developing and implementing SSGA's global fixed-income and currency quantitative strategies, said a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman.
Mr. Han will report to Ramu Thiagarajan, the firm's Boston-based senior managing director and global head of fixed income, cash and currency research, as well as chairman of its technical committee.
Mr. Han comes to SSGA from AllianceBernstein in Hong Kong, where he served as a vice president, quantitative analyst, fixed income.
An AllianceBernstein spokesman said a search is underway to fill that position.
