Ray Cameron was named head of Americas within BlackRock's investment stewardship team, said a BlackRock memo obtained by Pensions & Investments.
Mr. Cameron, who started last week, replaces Zach Oleksiuk, who left last year to become a managing director at Evercore.
As a managing director in Evercore's corporate advisory business, Mr. Oleksiuk focuses on shareholder engagement, corporate governance, ESG and investor relations, according to the firm's website.
Michelle Edkins, managing director and global head of investment stewardship at BlackRock, filled in as the team's interim head of Americas. Mr. Cameron reports to Ms. Edkins.
Previously, Mr. Cameron was head of global corporate access at Stifel Financial Corp. A Stifel spokeswoman could not immediately provide information on a replacement.
BlackRock had $6.3 trillion in assets under management as of June 30.
