Cardiff University, Cardiff, Wales, hired CCLA Investment Management to run its endowment funds, a spokesman said.
The £33 million ($43.8 million) in assets previously was managed by Barclays Wealth Management.
The university launched a search last July to appoint a manager for the long-term funds, with an initial contract period of three years. The contract has five 12-month extension options, which may be offered at the university's discretion.
