Anna Genda was named director, defined benefit, defined contribution and insurance at Investec Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Starting Aug. 1, Ms. Genda will focus on U.K. institutional business, reporting to David Aird, managing director of the U.K. client group.
"(Ms. Genda's) investment consulting and actuarial experience will allow us to bring appropriate actively managed solutions to our clients. (She) joins the team and the firm at an exciting time, with strong net flows and a range of investment strategies that are more relevant for our clients than ever before," Mr. Aird said in a news release.
Ms. Genda previously was investment director at Fidelity International. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
Investec has £104 billion ($138 billion) in assets under management.
