Taunton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant for the $314 million pension fund.
The search is being conducted to comply with state law requiring contracts to go out to rebid every seven years, said Paul J. Slivinski, executive director. Dahab Associates is the current investment consultant and is invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due by noon EDT on Aug. 13. The board expects to make a hire by the end of September, Mr. Slivinski said.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's asset allocation was 24% large-cap equities, 18% fixed income, 16% international equities, 15% real assets, 12% each midcap and small-cap equities, 2% cash and 1% alternatives.
