John Pickard, head of investment, is leaving Martin Currie Investment Management following a restructuring of the firm's investment team leadership, said a spokeswoman.
Mr. Pickard oversaw the investment performance of the investment team; he did not manage portfolios or have responsibilities for any specific clients. He also was a member of the executive team, she added. He joined the firm in 2010.
The $19 billion active equity specialist's investment strategy heads now have direct access to CEO Willie Watt, which "better aligns our investment teams and the client interest with the leadership of the firm," added the spokeswoman.
Jeff Casson remains head of investment process and Paul Hughes remains head of investment risk, trading and quant.
Further details on Mr. Pickard were not available.
