Texas Employees Retirement System committed a total of $125 million to three private markets investments in June, a monthly transaction report showed.
Investment officials of the $29 billion fund committed $50 million to Actis Long Life Infrastructure Fund. Actis Capital, the fund's manager, will seek investment opportunities in energy projects in emerging markets.
The Austin-based fund previously invested or committed a total of $100 million to two Actis energy-oriented infrastructure funds.
Texas Employees also committed $50 million to an infrastructure co-investment. ERS does not identify managers of co-investments.
In real estate, investment officers committed an additional $25 million to the Abacus Multi-Family Partners IV, bringing the investment in the fund to $100 million. The original commitment to the fund managed by Abacus Capital Group was in April 2017.
