Tucker Glavin will lead Unigestion's new U.S. sales and business development team, while Thomas Aitken joined the firm as director of U.S. institutional clients and sales, and Robert Meikleham was appointed a vice president of the division.
The three positions are new, part of Geneva-based Unigestion's expansion in the market with a dedicated sales force and business development team in the U.S., a spokeswoman said. Mr. Glavin reports to Christopher Bodtker, chairman of Unigestion (U.S.); Messrs. Aitken and Meikleham will report to Mr. Glavin.
Mr. Glavin joined the global asset manager last year as head of U.S. institutional clients and sales; he previously was a managing director at PineBridge Investments. Mr. Aitken was previously managing director at Bright Harbor Advisors and Thomas Capital Group; and Mr. Meikleham joined the firm from Columbia Threadneedle, where he covered business development for institutional clients across the Northeast and Southeast U.S.
"It is a very exciting time for Unigestion globally, and I am relishing the opportunity and challenge of helping to drive the business in the U.S.," Mr. Bodtker said in a news release. "We have had clients in the U.S. for over 18 years, and the appointment of a dedicated sales team on the ground not only illustrates our commitment to the market today, but it more importantly shows that we are here to stay for the long term."
Unigestion manages $26.2 billion in client assets, according to a news release.
