Hialeah, Fla., is searching for a single record keeper for its $62 million 457 plan and $2 million 401(a) plan, said Luis A. Suarez, the city's acting purchasing manager, in an email.
The city issued a request for qualifications for a single provider "with an option to renew yearly that can perform these services and take over, automate and outsource as many administrative tasks as possible, providing a seamless experience for the employees," according to the RFQ.
Currently, Nationwide Financial is the record keeper of the 457 plan and ICMA-RC is the record keeper of the 401(a) plan. Whether the firms are eligible to rebid could not be immediately learned.
The RFP can be obtained by emailing Mr. Suarez. Proposals are due at 11 a.m. EDT on July 20. A decision is expected on Aug. 14.
Mr. Suarez did not respond to a request for further information by press time.
