Veolia U.K. Pension Plan and Veolia Energy Pension Scheme, both based in London, hired Barnett Waddingham as their new actuary, said a news release from the £1 billion ($1.3 billion) pension funds.
Barnett Waddingham provides advice on funding, investments, plan design and risk management for the environmental management company's pension funds.
Robert Hawkes and his actuarial team at Barnett Waddingham work closely with the trustee and consultants, the news release said.
"Barnett Waddingham impressed us throughout the tender process and have settled quickly into the role. Their communication and consultancy skills have excelled from the outset, tailoring their approach to our needs," said Robert Hunt, chief corporate officer at Veolia and chairman of the trustee, in the release said.
A Veolia spokesman wasn't available to comment.
