Fort Worth (Texas) Employees' Retirement Fund is planning to search for a consultant to conduct a governance structure review, said Joelle Mevi, executive director and chief investment officer, in an email.
The review will focus on "efficiencies in how investment decisions are handled and level of delegation," Ms. Mevi wrote.
It has not yet been determined whether an RFP will be issued or when a decision will be made. The $2.3 billion pension fund board just approved on Wednesday forming an ad-hoc committee to find the consultant.
In light of the planned governance review, the board decided to delay an investment consultant search that was initiated in the spring. The results of the governance review will be integrated with a new investment consultant RFP that will be issued at a later date, Ms. Mevi wrote.
