Erie County, Pa., is searching for a service provider for its $14.5 million 457(b) deferred compensation plan.
The search is being conducted to determine what services are available in today's marketplace, said Frank R. Burnette, senior consultant at Morrison Fiduciary Advisors, which is assisting with the search.
Nationwide Financial, VALIC and Legend Group are the three current providers. "As incumbent managers, they do not have to rebid," said Mr. Burnette.
The county is looking to identify a service provider "that provides all of the currently available services at the most cost-advantageous pricing possible," the RFP said.
The RFP is available on Morrison Fiduciary Advisors' website. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. EDT July 20. A selection is expected to be made in the fourth quarter, if not sooner.
