Simon James was named head of credit, Australia at Willis Towers Watson in Melbourne.
Mr. James takes over that role — with responsibilities spanning the firm's investment consulting and delegated investments businesses — from Tony Arnold, who joined VicSuper, a A$20 billion ($14.9 billion) Melbourne-based superannuation fund, a Willis Towers Watson spokeswoman said in an email.
A VicSuper spokeswoman declined to comment on Mr. Arnold's position.
Mr. James comes to Willis Towers Watson from his previous role as a portfolio manager with Funds SA, which invests over A$30 billion on behalf of South Australia's public-sector superannuation funds and public authorities. A statement from Funds SA confirmed that Mr. James left the fund in March and said a replacement will be named "in due course."
