SCANA Corp., Cayce, S.C., added the Harbor Capital Appreciation Fund, an active domestic large-cap growth equity fund managed by Harbor Capital Advisors, to the investment options lineup of its 401(k) plan.
The Harbor fund replaced the Janus Henderson Research Fund, a similar fund managed by Janus Henderson Investors, according to the company's 11-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. The change was effective April 27.
SCANA spokesman Eric J. Boomhower said in an email, "Investment options in the 401(k) plan are regularly evaluated by our investment committee. Those investment options can be modified based on performance, fit with the overall investment strategy of the plan, or other factors." Mr. Boomhower did not specify the reason for this change.
As of Dec. 31, the SCANA Corp. 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan had $1.1 billion in assets. The Janus Henderson Research Fund as of that same date held $46 million in assets.
