John Murphy was named head of custody and fund services for the Asia-Pacific region at J.P. Morgan Chase.
Mr. Murphy replaces Colin McKechnie in the Hong Kong-based role. Mr. McKechnie will return to New York after three years in Hong Kong. A J.P. Morgan spokeswoman said there are no details to announce yet regarding Mr. McKechnie's new position in New York.
Mr. Murphy previously served as J.P. Morgan's head of custody for Asia and Japan. The spokeswoman said no decisions have been made on filling that position.
Mr. Murphy will report to Teresa Heitsenrether, head of global custody and fund services, and Nicolas Aguzin, the bank's Asia-Pacific chairman and CEO.
