Thomas P. Melcher was named managing director and associate director of investment management at Glenmede Investment Management, a news release said.
The position is new. Mr. Melcher will work with senior leaders on the investment management and relationship management teams to strengthen the firm's investment process and client services. He will report to Peter J. Zuleba III, director of investment management.
Mr. Melcher was executive vice president and chief investment officer for PNC Financial Services Group’s asset management unit. Mark McGlone, president and CIO of PNC Capital Advisors, has assumed the role of CIO for PNC's asset management group, confirmed spokeswoman Marcey Zwiebel.
Glenmede has more than $40 billion in assets under management.
