Peter M. Glaser and Suhail A. Shaikh were named managing directors and co-head of U.S. direct lending at Alcentra.
In the new positions, Messrs. Glaser and Shaikh will lead the current team, which focuses on U.S. investments and collaborates with Alcentra's European direct lending unit on cross-border opportunities, Benjamin Tanner, a spokesman for BNY Mellon Investment Management, Alcentra's parent company, said in an email.
They report to Vijay Rajguru, Alcentra's global co-chief investment officer.
Separately, Mr. Rajguru was appointed CEO of Alcentra Capital Corp., a direct lending business development company. He replaces David Scopelliti, who is leaving the firm, Mr. Tanner said.
Messrs. Glaser and Shaikh were appointed to the new positions of co-presidents of the BDC and will advise managers of the BDC.
Mr. Glaser was head of KKR Sponsor Finance, part of KKR Capital Markets.
Kristi Huller, a KKR spokeswoman, did not respond to an email request for information about Mr. Glaser's replacement.
Mr. Shaikh was a partner at Solar Capital Partners, a private credit manager. Information about his replacement could not be learned by press time.
Alcentra managed $37 billion worldwide as of April 30. Mr. Tanner said he could not provide the amount managed by Alcentra's U.S. direct lending team nor the size of the team.
