Geoff Pullen was named managing director, alternatives for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at State Street Corp., a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Pullen focuses on the execution of regional sales across hedge and private equity fund clients, reporting to Maria Cantillon, executive vice president and global head of alternative asset managers solutions.
Mr. Pullen joins from Standard Chartered, where he was executive director transaction banking and securities services sales to European alternative and traditional money managers.
State Street has $33.3 trillion in assets under custody and $2.8 trillion in assets under management.
