Tampa (Fla.) General Employees' Retirement Fund hired Loomis Sayles & Co. to run about $92 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, said Natasha Wiederholt, pension plan supervisor, in an email.
The $725 million pension fund conducted a shortlist search earlier this year after voting to terminate Ivy Investment Management from a similar portfolio because of the departure of Daniel Becker, senior portfolio manager.
Other finalists were Fred Alger Management and Polen Capital Management.
As of May 31, the actual allocation to domestic large-cap equities was 26.8%.
