Hideharu Ichii will join AMP Capital in Hong Kong on July 2 as a portfolio manager/analyst on the Sydney-based firm's global listed real estate team, with a focus on the Japanese real estate market.
The position is new, confirmed an AMP spokeswoman. The appointment "reflects the growth opportunities for global listed real estate and the importance of the Japanese market," according to an AMP Capital news release.
Mr. Ichii had been a senior portfolio manager at APG Asset Management Asia on its listed real estate Asia-Pacific team, focused on Japan and Australia, the news release said.
An APG Asset Management spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment on a replacement.
