Waterbury, Conn., is searching for a service provider for the city's three defined contribution plans with about $115 million in total assets.
Services sought include administration, record keeping, employee education, and employee investment and retirement planning advisory services.
The plans are a $69 million 457(b) plan, $41 million 403(b) plan and $5 million 401(a) plan. MetLife is the current record keeper for the plans, according to the RFP. It could not be learned if the company can rebid.
The RFP is available on the city's procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. EDT June 28. The city anticipates awarding a four-year contract beginning Jan. 1, 2019.
Rocco Orso, Waterbury's director of purchasing, could not be immediately reached for comment.
