Heinrich Riehl was named managing director in Investcorp's European sales and marketing team.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman said. Mr. Riehl will be based in London.
He will oversee fundraising and investor relations functions in Europe for the firm's $11 billion Investcorp Credit Management unit, a global credit investment platform.
He will report to Jeremy Ghose, head of Investcorp Credit Management. Mr. Riehl "joins at an important time as we continue to expand our platform and product offering," said Mr. Ghose in a news release.
Mr. Riehl had been a managing director in international marketing at TCW Group. A spokesman said the firm is in the process of searching for a replacement.
Investcorp Group has $21.3 billion in assets under management.
