Chris Gower was named director, global consultants and pension funds at Fulcrum Asset Management, said a spokeswoman.
The position is new. Mr. Gower works alongside Nick Smith, director of U.K. institutional, and the institutional team at Fulcrum as it continues to strengthen its institutional and consultant offering.
Fulcrum has £4.4 billion ($5.9 billion) in assets under management.
Mr. Gower was Europe, the Middle East and Africa head of client and consultant relations at First State Investments, said the release. A statement provided by a spokesman said: "Reflecting the increasingly global footprint and research focus of many of our consultant partners, First State has adopted a global approach to consultant relations. Responsibilities are assigned across both investment and client teams to ensure we provide integrated, specialist support and engagement for all consultant inquiries according to asset class and location."
