Heather Fleming was named head of institutional business at Gresham House, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The position is new. Ms. Fleming is based in London for the alternatives money manager.
Ms. Fleming works closely with Michael Hart, head of distribution, and is initially focusing on the firm's British Strategic Investment Fund. BSIF invests in innovation, housing and infrastructure. Ms. Fleming will also be responsible for developing Gresham House's broader institutional client offerings and fundraising capability in the future.
She reports to Rupert Robinson, managing director at subsidiary Gresham House Asset Management.
"She brings a wealth of experience and a strong network, and joins Gresham House at a particularly important time in our development following (a recent acquisition) and the expansion of our forestry and renewables businesses," Mr. Robinson said in a news release.
Ms. Fleming was group head of institutional distribution for the U.K. and Ireland at Fidelity International. A Fidelity spokeswoman said Tom Jeffery took on the role of head of U.K. and Ireland institutional clients. Mr. Jeffery has been at Fidelity International since 2004.
