Matthew Rinklin joined Grosvenor Capital Management as a managing director for the firm's labor impact infrastructure team, spokesman Patrick Clifford confirmed in an email.
The position is new. Mr. Rinklin will be responsible for executing the firm's investment strategy for its labor impact investment business, which centers around infrastructure investments that provide a positive impact on organized labor. He will report to Fred Pollock, managing director who oversees the investment strategy for the unit.
Mr. Rinklin was senior vice president at Oaktree Capital Management, responsible for originating, executing and managing infrastructure investments. An Oaktree spokeswoman declined to comment on a replacement.
Grosvenor has more than $50 billion in assets under management.
