Dex Media Inc., Dallas, hired SEI Investments to provide outsourced chief investment officer services for its $458 million pension plan, confirmed Bryan E. Smith, senior staff consultant, investment operations, in an email.
SEI replaced Hudson Pilot, which advised the plan as a traditional investment consultant. Dex conducted a search earlier this year because it wanted to switch to an outsourced CIO model. Hudson Pilot was invited to rebid; Mr. Smith did not say whether they did so.
