University of Western Ontario, London, is searching for at least one investment consultant to advise on the university's C$1.3 billion ($1 billion) operating and endowment fund.
The successful applicant will work under a five-year contract with an option by the university to extend it by up to three years, according to the RFP.
Services to be provided are general and private markets investment consulting services. Proposals can be made for one or both mandates, or for a subset of the private markets mandate, such as real estate, the RFP said.
As of Feb. 28, according to the RFP, the fund had 15 external managers running Canadian equity, fixed income and real estate; U.S. equity; international equity; absolute return; currency overlay; private equity; and infrastructure strategies. A specific asset allocation was not available.
The RFP is available through the Bonfire procurement website. Registration is required.
Proposals are due at noon EDT June 18. A selection is expected in September, the RFP said.
Officials at the university could not be reached for further details, including what investment consultants currently advise the fund and if they can rebid.
