William Landes was named head of global investment solutions by Columbia Threadneedle Investments, replacing Jeffrey L. Knight, who will leave the firm Friday.
Mr. Landes is deputy head of the firm's solutions business, confirmed Carlos P. Melville, a company spokesman, in an email. He will not be replaced.
Mr. Knight also is co-head of global asset allocation. His duties will be assumed by Toby Nangle, the other co-head of the business. Mr. Knight will join a New York-based family investment office, Mr. Melville said. Mr. Knight could not be reached for more information about his new position.
Separately, Joshua Kutin, was named to fill the newly created position of head of asset allocation, North America, while retaining his title and duties as a senior portfolio manager on the global asset allocation team, Mr. Melville said.
"We have built strong foundations in both our global investment solutions and global asset allocation businesses, with experienced and senior teams in place. There are no planned changes to the associated investment processes or strategies," said a company statement provided by Mr. Melville.
Columbia Threadneedle had $486 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
