Chicago Transit Authority Employees Retirement Plan is searching for an active emerging markets small-cap equity manager to run about $50 million, said an RFP on the $1.8 billion pension fund's website.
The reason for the search could not immediately be learned. Funding is expected to come from an existing Northern Trust Asset Management index fund, according to recently released board meeting minutes.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due by 3 p.m. CDT on June 12. A hiring date was not listed.
The pension fund has a 21% target allocation to international equity.
Investment consultant Marquette Associates is assisting.
