Stanislas Pottier was named chief responsible investment officer at Amundi, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Mr. Pottier oversees environmental, social and governance analysis and voting policy, and works on the firm's ESG offering, reporting to Chief Investment Officer Pascal Blanqué.
Mr. Pottier was previously global head for sustainable development at Credit Agricole.
Amundi has €1.45 trillion ($1.69 trillion) in assets under management.
