Karine Szenberg was named head of Europe at Schroders, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Szenberg is responsible for the institutional business across continental Europe and the Middle East.
"(Ms. Szenberg) and her team have successfully built our French business across both institutional and intermediary channels, over the past three years. The prospects for our business in continental Europe remain strong, and I look forward to working with her in this expanded role," said John Troiano, global head of distribution, in a news release.
Ms. Szenberg joined Schroders in 2014 as head of France. She maintains her responsibilities as country head.
Schroders has €115.8 ($135 billion) in European assets under management.
